Before my husband and I took off for Europe, we spent a few days in NYC with my dad and my brother. We didn't know what cold felt like till our first day in the city! (Some of the photos have poor quality from being taken on my phone)
One of our nights we went to Beetle House, a bar themed after Tim Burton films. We even met Sweeney Todd! The bar got a laugh when I walked in because he popped out from behind a curtain and scared me. :]
We had an awesome time and the place is decorated amazingly. If you're a fan of Tim Burton I would definitely suggest Beetle House as one of your stops in NYC.
We visited the American Museum of Natural History which I'm sure would be a dream for kids in the area to have as a field trip. There was so much to see!
The above is my favorite dinosaur, Stegosaurus. We did see even larger dinosaur bones (recreated). Speaking of dinosaurs, I had the dinosaur chicken nuggets for lunch there and they were tasty!
2004 brought us one of my favorite films, which was why I was so excited to step inside The New York Public Library. The Day After Tomorrow had quite a few scenes that took place at the library. The inside of this building was absolutely beautiful. Fro the walls, ceilings, and of course to all of the books. There were some spots that you could not go to if you didn't have a library card though.
These mannequins have the craziest lashes.
One rainy night after eating a delicious Italian meal, we went to the movies to see The Accountant. Ben Affleck did an amazing job!
